Skywatching is a theme for B&W Monday. I wanted to share these photos in reference to a couple of things feeding my soul: sunset, cloudspotting, watching aeroplanes and their tracks, being high up, and last but not least, photographing. Check out here what other contributors have spotted from "up there".

B&W Monday's theme is emotions. I quite randomly chose this image I took a year ago on the Asian side of Istanbul, and thought of situations of being together but still alone. There's a feeling of distance in many ways - something is out of reach. See other contributions to the challenge here.

Legs up for some yoga exercise! Pilli the cat helped me to contribute to this week's macro challenge with the theme upside down or backwards. Although I can't really call this one a real macro, it has to do... Check out here what the others have come up with.

Now this was an interesting experiment. Despite of converting many photos to black and white I've never been trying and editing a digital image to a negative before. See other contributions to B&W Monday's challenge here.

Probably the newest bridge in Tampere, the one over Lake Särkijärvi. I took this image early June on a kayaking trip when the bridge was still unfinished. See other B&W Monday challenge photos here.

Due to being lazy I'm using an old photo for this week's B&W challenge. Here's maybe a slightly different kind of view angle to the famous steel pipes aka the Sibelius Monument, although I'm sure quite many have been taking similar images. Back in 2007 I didn't yet have a SLR but was shooting with my tiny pocket camera.
